Why is it not possible to have the 3rd position (fully reclined) when the seat is facing the world? To recline the seat even to the max when the child felt asleep while sitting “facing the world” position? Does it have anything to do with the division of the weight? /Christina

Hi Christina,
If you look closely to the shape of the frame, you will notice that it has a tapered shape: the top part is wider than the bottom part (similar to the shape of the child). We wanted to make the Bugaboo dDnkey as narrow as possible, but still give enough width to both children. When the seat is facing the parent, the more narrow foot part of the frame is in between the handle bar, allowing the frame for every recline position. If this was also the case facing parent, then the frame should also fit between the handlebar. That way, the handle bar should be wider (approximately 5 cm in total) thus making the stroller also 5 cm wider. This would mean that the stroller becomes too wide. In our opinion, it is more important that the child can be in a fully reclined position for sleeping when it’s younger, so usually facing the parent. Facing world, the child is usually somewhat older, and can sleep very well in the semi reclined position. This also means that the carrycot, because it uses the same frame as the seat, cannot be placed facing the world on the chassis. But I don’t think parents like to have their baby not facing them, so this is no problem.

Why does Bugaboo don’t design angled foot brakes (all strollers)? /Helena

The Bugaboo Cameleon has the brake on the reversible handle bar so you can use the brake in both the city and woods position. Because of the reversible handle bar, the brake is on there. The brake on our other strollers can be a foot brake because they don’t have the reversible handle bar. Bugaboo Donkey and Bugaboo Bee have a foot brake.

Why does petrol blue doesn’t exist to Bugaboo Donkey and Bee? /Jessica

Hi Jessica,
Every Bugaboo product differs in its positioning, functionalities, user audience etc. Therefore we also choose different color pallets per product. We have chosen the PETROL BLUE color to be added in the Bugaboo Cameleon3 color pallet as a new color since 2012.

Will there be swivel-wheels for the winter in the future?  Will Bugaboo produce terrain-wheels (winter-wheels) for Bugaboo Bee in the future? /Emilie

Hi Emilie,
The terrain wheels for the Bugaboo Cameleon cannot be made swiveling because of the dimensions of the stroller. To make them swiveling they would have to increase the size, and that means the stroller would be out of balance.

Bugaboo is always working on product development. Bugaboo will begin communicating about upcoming new products as soon as they are fully developed and comply with the stringent demands Bugaboo imposes on its concepts and products.

Why is the harness (på Bugaboo Donkey, min anmärkning) so short?  Its not possible to fasten little bit bigger children with their winter clothes on. /LINA

Hi Lina,
Bugaboo’s main priority when designing its seat and harness systems is –and has always been- the safety and comfort of children and parents using Bugaboo products.

To achieve this however, we have to ensure that we meet the strict safety regulations of our sales regions. This means that, for example, crotch straps must meet certain length and position requirements to ensure children cannot be hurt. There are also strict rules about the maximum length of the straps.  In order to ensure children safety Bugaboo harness complies with all these regulations.

Bugaboo endeavors to include suitable adjustments to ensure that children of all sizes from newborn to 3 years of age can comfortably fit.
